THIS MONTH'S FEATURED ARTIST
Originally from Buffalo, New York, artist Vincent Giarrano is a resident of Washington, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo in 1982 and a Master of Fine Art Degree at Syracuse University in 1985. He is known mostly for his realistic portraits, capturing fleeting moments in real life. His work has been shown at various group and solo shows in galleries and museums, such as The National Portrait Gallery in London, UK; the Fort Wayne Museum of Art; The Butler Institute of American Art; The National Portrait Gallery at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC; Waterhouse Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA; Gallery 1261 in Denver, CO; Haynes Galleries, Nashville, TN; Enid Lawson Gallery, London, UK; and Art Fairs in Milan, Italy and ArtHamptons, NY. As well, he has won numerous awards and honors in various competitions. Giarrano has given workshops and taught painting classes in Connecticut and Washington, DC.
