It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in West Cornwall. West Cornwall gets into the holidays spirit during the second annual Winter / Holiday Stroll. Held from 1–5p.m. on December 9th, family-friendly activities range from ornament making to movie watching. And because we do things a bit differently in Cornwall, there will even be walks with llamas. Listed are just a few highlights, though make sure to check the Stroll’s Facebook page for last minute additions. Joe Brien of Lost Arts Workshop will play elf in the Souterrain Gallery, where kids of all ages are invited to create a handcrafted item. Also in the Susan Hellman bedecked Gallery, Santa will oversee operations and pose for pictures. Refreshments for children available while upstairs, the Wish House will offer adult spirits along with the special treat of gleuhwein. Bain Real Estate swings into the holiday spirit with music (records!), eggnog, and sweets. They also provide the welcome gift of a public restroom. Clink a glass at Ian Ingersoll Cabinetmakers, where you’ll find champagne, hot cocoa, and delicious munchies. There will be a Charlie Brown Tree Lighting and one lucky raffle winner will receive dinner for four at Pearly’s Farmhouse Café. And as a “bow on top,” The West Cornwall Library will screen “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” beginning at 4p.m. Hot cider will be on hand to sip while watching the 26-minute original film, featuring Boris Karloff! Decorations, nibbles, and a cup of good cheer – the Stroll promises a festive afternoon to usher in the Holiday season.
