The Ready Camera: Photographs by
Marc Isolda and Susan Reinberg

The color and black-and-white images offer evocative views of the Connecticut landscape. Marc Isolda’s sweeping panoramas, skies and pastoral studies bring the beauty of nature into focus. Susan Reinberg’s vistas and water views offer a unique vision.

Of his work, Marc comments: “I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was 8 years old. Even then, I was fascinated with the idea that I could capture a moment in time; I could freeze forever something that would never happen again. Taking pictures was almost magical. I still feel that way.”

About her approach, Susan says, “I like the catchphrase used by photojournalists: F/8 and be there.’ To me it means you have to have your camera always ready. But it also means you have to be prepared in both the literal and existential sense — you need to recognize what is happening right in front of you, and you have to make the shot.”
To reflect this idea of being always prepared, Marc and Susan have called their essay “The Ready Camera.” Hours are 7 am to 5 pm daily.
