Botanical Drawing Classes

Drawing in the Gardenis a wonderful way to observe nature and learn how to accurately draw what you see.  A Garden Sketch Book with Graphite Pencil will be taught by noted botanical artist Carol Ann Morley, this two-day workshop will introduce you to the basic concepts and skills of drawing with graphite pencil. Learn how to draw those tricky, overlapping shapes of petals and leaves and bring your drawing to a new level.

Open to any level student from beginner to those with drawing skills. A materials list will be emailed with your registration confirmation. Limited to 10 students.

Carol Ann Morley is an accomplished botanical artist and teacher whose work is in museum collections. In 1985 she founded the Botanical Art and Illustration program at New York Botanical Garden and was the program coordinator there for 8 years. She is currently teaching at Wellesley College Botanic Garden, Berkshire Botanic Garden and Sanctuary Arts in Maine as well as here at Hollister House Garden.
